Data Governance Lead

Data Governance Leads in our pool establish the policies, processes, and tooling that make data a reliable enterprise asset. As POPIA compliance becomes table stakes in South Africa, demand for governance specialists has increased significantly. What we look for: - Experience implementing or leading a data governance programme (DAMA-DMBOK or equivalent framework) - Working knowledge of POPIA (South Africa) and/or GDPR compliance requirements - Familiarity with data catalogue and lineage tools (Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or open-source equivalents) - Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and tools - Ability to translate governance policy into engineering requirements - 5+ years in a data role, with at least 2 focused on governance or compliance This is a talent pool role, not a specific company vacancy.
